Milton Pope student Olivia Long, middle, was telling her friends Sara Meyer, left, and Grace Satterfield, right, about a dog she was getting that day when a pickup truck blew a stop sign and hit the school bus they were riding in on September 10th. Long suffered a broken ankle while her friends sustained minor cuts and bruises.
Emergency responders to the school bus versus pickup truck accident that occured September 10th in Marseilles were honored Friday morning at Milton Pope School in Marseilles for their service that day.
Diane Kelley, right, a 70 year old bus driver from Marseilles, is honored by Illinois Central School Bus Company for her bravery during the tragic school bus versus pickup truck accident that occured September 10th. Milton Pope School in Marseilles held a breakfast Friday morning to thank emergency responders that helped with the accident and to honor Kelley and other school officials for their action that day.
